Potential Location 1:

Peterborough, Sugar Way, Candy Street, this is my first potential location that I thought about using as at night I have walked down here before, some of the street lights don't work and they sometimes flicker, at night this feels like the perfect setting for a horror movie opening, the problem with it is that it links the estate to the main road so quite a lot of people walk down here, therefore it will make the production speed slow.
It is very accessible and always open, it is surrounded by trees so if I decide to use this I can make it look like an isolated back street, it falls under the different horror conventions perfectly, the lighting works as most of the street lights work but a few flicker, it is always quiet down this alley, on the odd occasion you can hear cars pass by.
I like this location but I don't think it suits my movie opening, I want somewhere more isolated and where the chance of people walking by is very slim.

Potential Location 2:

Parkfield Farm Outwell, Wisbech, this is my second potential location that I am definitely considering using, at night times the road next to the farm is extremely quiet, it is rare to see more then 3 cars go by, this really helps because I would like to film at night time. The lighting is a bit of an issue as there aren't any street lamps around so it isn't well lit, but I can use dim flood lights or the flash. It is very accessible as I know the owners and I have spoken to them about using their land to film, they have given me complete access to the farm.
The farm is a very isolated place making it a very good location to film, it comes under the key conventions of horrors so I favor this location the most, not only is it easy to access the owners have said I can use it whenever so I don't have to wait until its free.
I feel that this location suits my horror opening scene the most as I want the audience to feel isolated, uncomfortable with the location and feel sympathy for the victim as he is trapped and alone, no one can help him and this is why I want to film here because it gives off the impression that there is no where for him to run.
